Tale of Tales nowadays are seen as a niche topic among academic art scholars, or online gaming communities looking for weird indie games to entertain themselves.

People have scattered opinions on Tale of Tales as artists and gamers. As you'll see in the discussion threads below, some write these artists off a pretentious anti-capitalists who are spreading the messages they believe in the worst way possible.

Others love what they have created for how unique and boundary breaking their works are, although it is hard to defend them when some of the duo's statements in interviews and articles are so headstrong and adamant that their works should have been more of a success.

As of recent, April 2023, they now simply focus on making art for their own sake, and have written off the gaming industry as a capitalist hellscape that crushes indie gaming studios, that perhaps deserved more of a fighting chance if it weren't for the money aspect of their development.
